Who is David R. Kaloupek Clients, friends and colleagues call me "David"
My Specialization: I specialize in earning client's and customer's trust and respect by providing exceptional advisory and real estate services to residential buyers, property owners/ sellers and investors. The clients' and customers' goals and interests are central to my work and effort.
My goal is to help clients "get on with their lives with maximum financial results and a minium of hassle and worry". Our motto: "Only the best for the best".
My focus is helping clients and customers identify, assess, negotiate, purchase or sell single-family and multi-family residences, townhouses, condominiums and income property. I am most active in the communities of Waltham, Lexington, Arlington, Newton, Watertown, Lincoln and select Boston area towns. My objective is to make each real estate transaction a rewarding and positive experience for buyers and sellers and the forty plus people involved in the sale and purchase of a home or property.
My experience has given me a full appreciation for listening, communicating, research, anticipating roadblocks and setbacks, forthrightness, resourcefulness and getting the job done for customers and clients.
I am actively involved in local and regional real estate associations as well as with local business and community groups. I keep current of real estate prices and values, the real estate market, mortgage financing and public issues in my primary service area.
Personal I'm am an Iowa native, raised in the town of Elberon, a rural community (pop. 100) located forty miles west of Cedar Rapids. As a young man, I worked in our family's retail bulk oil, auto and tractor repair and farm services business as well as for local farmers.
After high school, I volunteered for the military draft, served in the US Army's Fourth Division and Army Reserve, earned GI Bill benefits and graduated from Coe College (IA) with a BA in Economics, Boston College with a MSW in community planning and community organization and a masters degree in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management, Cambridge.
My family and I have lived in Wellesley, Lexington, Burlington, Peabody and Waltham in MA; Morrisville, PA; several communities in New Jersey; Dallas, TX and Clearwater, FL. We enjoyed several summers in Harwich on Cape Cod.
My career, volunteer activities and work experience includes local REALTOR firms, the United Community Service/United Fund of Cedar Rapids, IA; Health Planning Association of Mercer County, NJ; Cooper Hospital/Medical Center, Camden, NJ; NJ Cancer Research Commission, Trenton, NJ; Hospital Corporation of America Management Company, Boston & Nashville, TN; Coopers & Lybrand, Boston; EmCare, Dallas, TX; The Sterling Group, Boston & Coral Gables, FL; Barnstable Venture Group, MA; and Healthy Communities Online, Waltham, MA.
Current hobbies and interests include enjoying time with Mary Jane, my wife, our daughters and their families; bicycling; shell fishing; helping with North Waltham/Trapelo Road neighborhood projects; Save the homes of elderly & aging mentally retarded men and women at the Fernald Center (Waltham) and volunteering on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association of MA & NH, Fernald League for Retarded Citizens, COFAR, MIT Club of Boston, Waltham Affordable Housing Trust and entrepreneurial and business organizations.
